It is not compulsory to live in Australia for the last 2 years if you’re planning to change your temporary to permanent partner visa. One of the ways to change the status of your current visa is that you need to show some proof of you and your partner living in Australia for more than 5 years. Plus, if you have children depending on you in your current marriage or relationship, then you can apply for a permanent visa. Here are a few documents required to transit from temporary to permanent partner Australia visa.
- Finance – Lease documents or joint mortgage are the documents required related to finance. Examples are; statements of joint bank account, homes, cars, household bills in both partner names.
- Household – The documents related to household are email address, household bills in both names.
- Social Matters – When it comes to social matters, the documents required are invitation to prospective marriage, parties etc. Moreover, you also need to show proof of you and your partner with images between the two of you and with friends doing social and cultural activities together.
- Proving Commitment – For this, you will need to show proof that you and your partner are aware of each other’s family backgrounds.
- De Facto Commitment – The documents required for this are marriage pictures and videos of you and your partner. You will also need to send proof of personal messages, emails, letters etc.
All these documents will be required to be sent to a registered migration agent in Sydney.
